Fisterra: The Story of the End of the World Football Shirt

Some football shirts begin in a marketing office. This one began at the edge of a map.

Fisterra comes from the Latin finis terrae: the end of the earth. For centuries, people genuinely believed the world ended there. Pilgrims who completed the Camino de Santiago would walk for another three days to the lighthouse, burn their old clothes and stand looking out over the Atlantic. The Costa da Morte carries the memory of hundreds of shipwrecks, an unforgiving sea and stone villages whose people have faced the water for generations rather than live in fear of it.

We asked ourselves: what if this place had a club? Not a major team, but a small and proud one, with damp changing rooms, stone terraces and the lighthouse on its crest. That is how Fisterra CF came to life, followed by the Fisterra football shirt, now the most sought-after piece in our archive.

The design: deep green, cream and aged gold

The palette comes directly from the cape: the dark green of the hillside before rain, the cream of old stone and sea foam, and the muted gold of a lighthouse beam. Across this base, the pattern brings together a lighthouse, waves, a scallop shell and sailors' knots, as if the shirt had been recovered from a harbour archive.

It is not a replica, and it was never meant to be. This is an original design for a club that never existed. That freedom allows it to tell the whole story without asking anyone's permission.

How to wear it

It works with washed denim, wide-leg trousers or simple shorts, and feels equally at home in the stands or at dinner. If you prefer a loose blokecore fit, go one size up. Read our complete size guide and our guide to styling retro football shirts for more ideas.

Complete the Galician archive

Fisterra has a capsule of its own, including the Fisterra CF cap and the embroidered beanie for the rest of the year. If Galician nights are more your thing, Noite de Meigas 300 gsm is its after-dark counterpart: heavyweight cotton, bonfires and San Xoán.

Every shirt is made to order, with shipping included in Spain. Explore the full range in our retro football shirt collection.
